The Maid of the Mist is a historical ride that has been operating since 1846, and is one of the oldest attractions in North America. This half hour cruise takes you to the base of the Horseshoe Falls where you can feel the mighty force of the water as you get soaked in the excitement. A thrill you won't ever forget. Open from late April to October 24th.
Goat Island Aquarium of Niagara Falls, NY
The oldest state park in the USA, the Niagara Reservation State Park also features premier viewing areas. A vision and design of famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmstead, this scenic preserve covers 400 acres of nature’s beauty. You’ll find hiking trails, picnic sites and convenient pathways to the Three Sisters Islands, located just above the river’s drop. Downtown Niagara Falls is also the location of the Niagara Aerospace Museum, which holds a large collection of antique planes, a 200-seat theater with full surround sound, and an impressive display of interesting artifacts. The Aquarium of Niagara Falls has a great selection of
marine life. From penguins and seals to sharks and sea lions !
Observation Tower: Cave of winds
For the most comprehensive view of the American Falls, head to the Observation Tower at Prospect Point. The Tower's observation deck extends over the Niagara Gorge wall to provide spectacular views. Take the elevator to the top and you'll stand far above the gorge, gazing down at the full drop of the churning cascade. Also from the lower landing of the elevator, you can board the Maid of the Mist boat ride.

Admission:
$1.00 (US) for adults and children

The Cave of the Winds trip takes you closer to the waters of Niagara Falls than you thought possible. You ride an elevator 175 feet (53 meters) deep into the Niagara Gorge. Then, clad in a bright yellow poncho and wearing the special footwear provided, you follow a tour guide over a series of wooden walkways to the famous "Hurricane Deck". As you stand at the railing, you are a mere 20 feet (6 meters) from the billowing torrents of Bridal Veil Falls. The rushing waters loom above you, dousing you with a generous spray as you face the thundering Falls head-on. Rainbows are usually visible day and night. Everyone can experience the sights of Niagara Falls. A deck has been built 150 feet from the base of the Falls especially designed for handicapped and adults with children in arms.

Admission:

$10 US for adults

$8 US for children six to 12 (must be at least 42" tall)

Admission is free for children 5 and under at all attractions in Niagara Falls State Park.
